What we got wrong, and what we changed.
Every correction we make appears here permanently, with what was wrong, who told us, and what it says now. Quietly editing a piece is not a correction.
This page is empty, which we would rather show you than hide. We have published four pieces. Nobody has yet found an error in them — or nobody has yet told us.
The second possibility is more likely than the first, and it is the reason this page exists before it has anything on it.
How to report something
Email hello@kulturevultures.com with the piece, the passage, and what is wrong with it. If you can point to a source, wonderful; if you simply know because it is your culture and you grew up with it, that counts too and we will do the sourcing.
We reply to everyone. If you are right, we fix the piece, log it here, and credit you by name unless you would rather we did not.
What we count as a correction
- A factual error — a wrong date, translation, attribution or claim
- A framing that misrepresents a community, even where each individual fact is accurate
- A missing or incorrect image credit
- A source we should have found and did not
Typographical fixes and small edits for clarity are not logged here. Anything that changes what a piece asserts is.
